Product Overview

The Fluorine and Chlorine Analyzer is designed for elemental analysis in coal-quality laboratories, power plants, coal-chemical facilities, and research institutions. The supplied method description focuses on fluorine determination in coal using high-temperature combustion hydrolysis followed by fluoride ion-selective electrode measurement. The fluorine procedure is designed in accordance with GB/T 4633-2014, Determination of Fluorine in Coal, and combines controlled furnace heating, automatic sample introduction, hydrolysis, and high-precision ion measurement.

How It Works

A coal sample is mixed with a small quantity of quartz sand and heated in a flowing mixture of oxygen and steam at approximately 1100 deg C. Fluorine compounds in the coal are converted into volatile fluorides, carried into the condensate, and quantitatively dissolved in water. A fluoride ion-selective electrode is used as the indicator electrode and a saturated calomel electrode as the reference electrode. The fluoride-ion concentration is determined by the standard-addition method and used to calculate the fluorine content of the coal sample.

Key Advantages

Simple instrument control

A Chinese-language LCD interface provides clear parameter display and straightforward operation for routine laboratory testing.

Stable furnace temperature

PID furnace-current control provides accurate temperature regulation and helps extend the service life of the silicon carbide heating element.

Reliable temperature measurement

Precision, low-drift components support long-term measurement stability during high-temperature combustion hydrolysis.

Automatic sample introduction

The automated feeding system reduces manual handling and helps improve consistency between sample tests.

Integrated safety and diagnostics

Fault self-diagnosis and overtemperature protection support safer operation and easier troubleshooting.

Precision ion measurement

A high-accuracy digital ion meter is supplied for fluoride-ion determination, while a TOCOS evaporation-adjustment potentiometer provides stable linear control and long service life.
