Product Overview
The Automatic Trace Moisture Analyzer uses coulometric Karl Fischer titration to determine low-level water content in liquid, gas, and solid samples. The instrument combines automatic endpoint detection, dynamic potential-curve display, result calculation, data printing, and touchscreen stirring-speed control in a compact laboratory platform. Five selectable result formats support both concentration-based and absolute-water reporting.
How It Works
During coulometric Karl Fischer titration, iodine is generated electrochemically in proportion to the electrical charge passed through the titration cell. The iodine reacts quantitatively with water in the sample. The instrument monitors the electrode potential, automatically identifies the endpoint, and calculates the measured water content from the quantity of generated iodine.
Key Advantages
Coulometric Karl Fischer technology supports measurement from 1 ppm according to the supplied specification.
The system determines the titration endpoint automatically and provides an audible completion alarm.
A dynamic potential curve and text prompts make the measurement status easy to monitor on the 7-inch color touchscreen.
Results are displayed and printed automatically using the selected calculation formula and reporting unit.
The stirring speed is adjusted using a touchscreen slider for quick optimization of the titration cell.
The real-time clock is specified to continue operating for up to ten years during power-off periods.
Applications
Suitable for petroleum products, lubricants, chemicals, solvents, pharmaceuticals, insulating oils, gases, powders, and other materials requiring trace or percentage-level water determination. Appropriate sample introduction or oven accessories may be required for gases and solids.
